Summary:

Being a bridesmaid is a dull job. But when the groom gets caught with his cummerbund around his ankles, dull isn’t in the cards.

Lily Michaels is happy to help her best friend cancel her wedding. But since the groom with the broken nose is also her landlord, it means she’s looking for a new apartment. Enter Nate MacIntyre—former boy-band member and current composer—his mostly St. Bernard dog Beau and the apartment over their garage. Nate is sexy, Beau is adorably charming and the apartment is gorgeous. Things are looking up!

But things get complicated when Max, the former groom, starts hassling Lily for the location of his jilted bride. Nate thinks Max is dangerous, Lily thinks Nate is silly, and while she’s enjoying where her attraction to him is going, her independent streak simply won’t let her lean on him too much. What do you get when you mix an overprotective man, an independent woman and the confusion that comes with falling in love? Whatever it is, it’s not dull.

A Romantica® erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

The Review:

Hannah Murray’s One Hit Wonderful is a lighthearted and entertaining romance. Lily Michaels and Nate MacIntyre might be complete opposites in many ways, but when it comes to love, they are on the same page. Well, most of the time ;).

One Hit Wonderful has an all-star and diverse cast of characters. Lily Michaels is a bit prim and proper and a stickler for organization. But she also has a wonderful sense of humor and a delightfully romantic side to her personality.

Nate McIntyre is laidback and easygoing with a protective streak that is a mile wide. One of the best aspects of One Hit Wonderfulis Nate’s ability to fluster Lily and shake up her straitlaced demeanor.

The supporting cast of characters is well-developed and engaging. Lily’s interactions with jilted bride Bridget reveal the many different facets of Lily’s personality. The scenes with her close friend Charles are filled with humor. Nate’s dog, Beau, is adorable and he definitely steals the show with his zany antics.

One Hit Wonderful is a wonderfully written, angst free novel. The secondary subplot with Bridget’s ex-fiancé Max provides added tension as Lily and Nate work through their trust issues. Their sex scenes are deliciously steamy yet playful.

If you are looking for a lighthearted romance, I highly recommend Hannah Murray’s charming novel, One Hit Wonderful. It is an enjoyable story with appealing characters, an engaging plot and plenty of laugh out loud humor.
