Summary:

A new adult romance from Entangled’s Embrace imprint…

He’s got one day to win the heart of America’s sweetheart

Todd Camford went from Marine sniper to owning a beachfront surf shop in Florida, and he couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately, the programming from his training hasn’t quite been eliminated. His ex called him an unfeeling cyborg, but he’s a free-flying, unfettered hawk, damn it. Relationships are out of the question…

And then she comes into his shop.

Everyone knows who Abigail Kelly is-mega rockstar, tabloid fixture. Still, nothing prepares Todd for Abby’s smoky gray eyes or the swift breathlessness of their instant chemistry. He’d be an ass (or possibly insane) to think he can resist her. Just for today, maybe he’ll keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t get mobbed. Because really, how much damage could one day with a super-hot, kick-ass celebrity really do?

Review:

Crossing Abby Road by Ophelia London is a short but engaging read. When a pop star craving anonymity ducks into an ex-Marine sniper’s surf shop, they spend the day together getting to know one another. Will their blazing hot attraction be enough to convince the singer to spend the rest of the summer with the protective entrepreneur?

Todd Camford is on the verge of making his dreams come true when he meets megastar Abigail “Abby” Todd, front woman of the wildly popular group, Mustang Sally. He is finally putting down roots now his time in the Marines is over and he is moving forward with plans to open a second surf store. Although he still suffers from PTSD, Todd is enjoying his less stressful and much simpler life in the beachside town.

Abby is taking a much needed vacation and she is trying to keep a low profile when she is recognized by some of her fans. Despite her success, she is nursing a few insecurities and she is feeling pressured by all of her responsibilities. Although she desperately needs a break, the downtime is making her feel a bit antsy and she is planning to return to California when she meets Todd. After the two spend a carefree, fun day getting to know one another, will she reconsider her decision to leave?

Crossing Abby Road is written in first person from Todd’s perspective and while the story only spans one day, it is still a very charming romance. Todd and Abby are delightful characters and it is very enjoyable watching the two of them get to know one another. There is plenty of chemistry between them but other than exchanging a few kisses, they spend most of their time talking.

Crossing Abby Road is a very cute new adult romance that brings back beloved characters from Ophelia London’s novel, Abby Road. Although this latest release can be read as standalone, I recommend reading the previous novel to completely enjoy this first glimpse of Todd and Abby’s relationship.
