Summary:

From NYT Bestselling author, Sawyer Bennett, comes a SEXY new stand alone romance…

When you’re a rock god, fame and fortune are your two best friends, but they can be fickle bitches. Everyone wants a piece of me and I have no clue how to deal with it all. I’m being sued, pressured to sign contracts, and fending off rabid women who want to steal my virtue.

Well, not that I really have any virtue, but still… my life has turned completely bat-shit crazy.

That’s why I need Emma Peterson. She got me out of a bit of a jam once, and I know she can do it again. The only problem is that sweet, prim and totally straight-laced Emma doesn’t want anything to do with me. Not professionally, and certainly not personally.

It’s not that I want her in that way. Let’s be realistic… it would take a crow bar of epic proportions to get her to spread those legs for me.

No, I only want her legal expertise and for her to make sense of my crazy world. It’s a good thing I have just the leverage to make her do my bidding, because her refusal is not an option.

*Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll is a hot, romantic comedy stand alone.

Review:

Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll by Sawyer Bennett is a sexually charged opposites attract romance between a buttoned up lawyer and a hard partying, playboy rock star.

After going solo, indie rocker Evan Scott is a fast-rising super star. Despite his success, he remains firmly focused on his music and surprisingly down to earth. However, fame always comes with a price and after getting burned a few times too many, Evan is wary of trusting the wrong person so out of self preservation, he sticks to one night stands with fans and groupies.  When he finds himself attracted to lawyer Emma Peterson, Evan ensures she joins him on his upcoming tour where he hopes to figure out why he is so drawn to her.  Do his feelings for prim and proper Emma run deeper than lust? If so, will Evan be able to convince her to take a chance on him?

Emma lives a well-ordered life where she more than happy to spend her days buried in research. While her career is not exactly where she wants it to be, she remains hopeful she will eventually find her dream job. In the meantime, she is trying to make the best of her position at her current law firm. Although  she feels completely out of her element while working with Evan, she is surprised by how much she truly enjoys some aspects of her temporary position. Emma is equally shocked by her unexpected desire for someone so different  from the men she usually dates.  Will Evan convince her to step out of her comfort zone and explore their mutual desire?

Evan loves getting a reaction out of Emma and he deliberately provokes her on more than one occasion.  While she does give in to some of his requests, she remains fairly true to what matters most to her.  She does become more well rounded by taking a few risks and as a result, her confidence in herself gets a much needed boost.  However, doubts always remain at the back of her mind and it does not take much for someone with ulterior motives to exploit these uncertainties.  After she misconstrues a couple of situations, will Emma give Evan the chance to tell his side of the story?  Or will she let her misgivings stand in the way of their future?

Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll by Sawyer Bennett is a sexy, sweet romance.  Emma and Evan are vibrantly developed characters that are easy to like and root for. Their sex scenes are delectably sensual and perfectly compliment their burgeoning romance.  Although a little predictable, the storyline is well written and quite enjoyable.  All in all, a light-hearted steamy read that will hit the right chord with readers of contemporary love stories.
