Summary:

London, 1822

Two of London’s most notorious rakehells, Linus Radcliffe and Robert Anderson, are the best of friends. They share almost everything–clothes, servants, their homes, and even each other’s bed on occasion. The one thing they don’t share: lovers. For while Linus prefers men, Robert prefers women…except when it comes to Linus.

As another Season nears its end, Robert can’t ignore his growing jealousy. He hates watching Linus disappear from balls to dally with other men. Women are lovely, but Linus rouses feelings he’s never felt with another. Unwilling to share his gorgeous friend another night, Robert has a proposition for Linus.

A proposition Linus flatly refuses–but not for the reasons Robert thinks. Still, Robert won’t take no for an answer. He sets out to prove a thing or two to his best friend–yet will learn something about the heart himself.

The Review:

Ava March’s Brook Street: Rogues is a heartwarming and extremely sexy historical novella. Linus Radcliffe and Rob Anderson are longtime friends who also have a “friends with benefits” relationship. But sudden jealousy and a desire for a committed relationship threatens to destroy their friendship.

For such a close and longstanding friendship, neither Rob nor Linus knows the other man as well as they think they do. Rob does not understand his sudden jealousy of Linus’s casual dalliances and he rashly proposes an exclusive relationship. Linus harbors strong emotions for Rob and his fear of losing their friendship keeps him from accepting Rob’s proposition. His refusal forces Rob to examine his feelings for Linus and the motivations behind his desire to change their relationship.

A perfect blend of sweet romance and hot sex, Brook Street: Rogues is a quick read with charming and likable protagonists. It is a delightful and satisfying conclusion to Ava March’s Brook Street trilogy.
