Casting Ready to Wed
by Cindi Madsen

Whenever I start a project, I like to go get on Pinterest and start pinning inspiration pictures. This often leads to pinning a lot of other funny things or recipes, and then minutes have somehow morphed to hours, but that’s beside the point. So, back to what I like to refer to research, because looking up hot guys for books is such hard work! Lol. I thought today I’d talk fantasy casting for my book Ready to Wed.

First of all, we have Dakota, a very organized wedding planner, who’s having a bit of a rough go after being stood up at the altar for her own wedding. This makes planning other couples’ happily-ever afters a bit more difficult.

I think Rachel Bilson would be a great Dakota Halifax!

And for Brendan, security expert at the Aces Resort & Casino, I’d cast Justin Hartley.

Summary:

Is there anything worse than getting jilted at the altar? How about being a wedding planner getting jilted at the altar for your own wedding…on a cruise already out at sea?

When Las Vegas resident Dakota Halifax loses her fiance, she swears she’s given up on love altogether. She pours her heart into her weekly wedding advice column and fills her days planning events to celebrate others’ forever love. When her childhood best friend Brendan moves to Las Vegas and they reconnect, she starts to wonder if maybe love could find her again. But then her ex reappears, begging for another chance. Can someone once-burned and twice-shy ever find her way down the aisle again?

Author Bio

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.
