Friday Feature, Interview & Giveaway: Roman Reunion by Crystal Jordan

Please welcome Crystal Jordan to Book Reviews & More by Kathy. For today’s stop on her Roman Reunion tour, Ms. Jordan graciously answered a few “get to know you” questions for us.

Kathy: What book do you recommend everyone should read? Do you have a comfort read?

Crystal: As crazy as it sounds, I’d recommend Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. Read the book, don’t watch the movie, trust me. That story taught me the power of imagination at a very young age. I still love it every single time I pick it up.

For comfort reads? The Mackenzie series by Linda Howard. I adore those books so much. They make me happy sigh every time open the cover and leave the real world behind.

Kathy: What is your guilty pleasure?

Crystal: Reading! I write so much these days that sneaking a moment in to read a book is such a luxury.

Kathy: Favorite meal?

Crystal: I’m hooked on crêpes lately. There’s a restaurant nearby that serves a savory chicken breast crêpe with mushrooms, roasted almonds, provolone, feta, and pesto. It is to die for. I’m drooling a little just thinking about it. I may need to take myself out to dinner tonight!

Kathy: If you weren’t a writer, what would you be?

Crystal: I’m a librarian by day and I love my work, so I’d definitely still be that. If I were to go wild with it, I’d say I’d be a world explorer. Visiting every continent is on my bucket list, and it looks like I’m ticking another one off my list next summer. My boyfriend and I are headed to Australia! I’m pretty giddy with excitement over it.

Kathy: If you could time travel, what time period would you visit?

Crystal: Regency England, no question. I’d hang out with Jane Austen and visit all my favorite places from her books.

Summary:

When in Rome…“I do” as Romans do!

Destination: Desire, Book 3

Karen Patton’s life is falling apart. She signed divorce papers, quit her job, and moved back to her hometown into an apartment that couldn’t feel less like home. With two weeks of free time before she starts work at the Half Moon Bay Public Library, she’s crawling the walls, trying desperately not to miss the man who chose his career over her.

When an old college friend invites her to Italy for an impromptu wedding, she jumps at the chance to focus on something other than her own misery.

Tate Patton is doing his best to ignore the divorce papers that just landed on his desk. A rational, reasonable man would sign and be done with it. Instead, he seizes upon a wedding invitation to do something completely impetuous—ignore the papers and fly to Rome.

When they lay eyes on each other, the sparks fly as hot as the first time they met. Maybe the more mature versions of themselves can fix what’s broken. Their love is too strong not to try…

Product Warnings: Contains intoxicated one-night stands with an almost-ex-husband (which may or may not result in an accidental baby), and sneaking around to hide naughty goings-on from friends. It’s not technically illicit, but delicious fun all the same!

Thanks for the interview! I love “Where the Wild Things Are”, also, and read it to my children so often that I still have it memorized 8 years after they’ve needed me to read it to them!’ : ) Your book sounds interesting and thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
