Please Be Patient… (The Weather Outside is Frightful)

We are currently expecting an ice storm in New Mexico (and neighboring states-I live on the NM/TX border) that may impact our electricity. In the event we do lose power, contests may take longer to close out than normal and e-mail response times may also be delayed. I have several days worth of posts scheduled, so please check back daily for new content, including contests, book reviews and upcoming blog tours.

The severe weather is expected to last through Saturday morning and there are already reports of downed power lines in surrounding areas. Hopefully any power outages will be short-lived but in the event they are not, please be patient regarding the upcoming Winter Wonderland Giveaways. I will announce winners and send out prizes as soon as possible.

Thank you!!
Kathy

Take care, Kathy! For your sake, I hope there’s no power outages or issues of any kind for you all.

Thanks, Carolyn. It’s a drizzly, windy & cold right now. Our high on Wednesday was in the 70s so this is a shock lol.

Take care Kathy! We had a 3 day power outage 2 Christmases ago caused by an ice storm. Temps then dropped to ridiculously frigid. No heat, no warm food. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.

Thank you, Maya! So far, so good, but it’s still cold and windy with intermittent sleet and freezing rain. Our fingers are crossed we make it through this without losing power.

I do hope your power stays on and you all stay warm

    Stay safe Kathy!

Living along the shore of one of the Great Lakes, we get a lot of severe weather. I certainly feel for you and hope for the best. Good luck!

Thank you, Cindy. We’ve lived here 6 years and this is first time we’ve had an ice storm warning 🙁 So far, it’s just cold and windy with intermittent sleet and ice. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

I’d offer you a place to stay but I’m in OK wrapped in a faux-furry throw. I’m ready to toss it all and head south, like to Belize. Sadly my funds would only last to the Red River, maybe.

LOL, Nancy. Hopefully your weather is a little better than mine!

Grey, rainy 36 degrees and under a flash flood watch. No ice, yet. Hope you don’t get iced in and lose power. That can be a major bummer. Longest we were ever out was a week. You should have seen the race for showers when the power came back.
