Friday Feature, Interview & Giveaway: More to Love by Alison Bliss

I am absolutely delighted to welcome author Allison Bliss to Book Reviews & More by Kathy.

Alison: Hi, Kathy! Thanks for having me on your blog.

Kathy: You’re welcome and thank you so much for stopping by! Now, let’s jump right to a few questions. Can you tell us a little about your new release?

Alison: Absolutely! More to Love is a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that proves when enemies become lovers, all bets are off. Jessa Gibson may be new in the little town of Granite, Texas, but in no time at all her gourmet food truck business is booming. Soon she’ll have enough money to open the restaurant of her dreams. But first, she’ll have to appease the hot local health inspector, no matter how strange his “violations” sound to her.

However, Max Hager isn’t exactly who he says he is. Pretending to be a health inspector is a mostly innocent mistake. A mistake made way worse by his immediate, electrifying attraction to the curvy, sexy redheaded chef. Throw in a whole lot of lust, and things in Jessa’s food truck are about to really start heating up. Unless Max can find a way to come clean with her before his little deception turns into a recipe for disaster.

Kathy: What do you like best about the main characters in More to Love?

Alison:T he hero, Max, is a well-loved character from the previous two books in the series, and I’ve always adored how mischievous he was in those stories. That particular trait of his, of course, continues throughout his own book and the readers will get to delve a little deeper to find out why Max is the way he is. As for the heroine, Jessa, I really love her laid-back attitude, her passion for cooking, and her love of life. It’s easy to see why she’s such a perfect fit for Max.

Kathy: What was your inspiration for the A Perfect Fit series?

Alison: There were so many things that inspired the idea for this series, but two stand out above the rest. Not only did I love the idea of writing books about curvy heroines—who I felt other women could easily relate to—finding love, but I also wanted to show that women aren’t the only ones who worry about their size.

Kathy: Do you have a favorite book or author you like to recommend? Do you have a comfort read?

Alison: I’m a huge Linda Howard fan so I’m always recommending her books to everyone I meet. Although I own every one of her books and am hard-pressed to pick a favorite, I have to say her Mackenzie series is so much fun. I never get tired of rereading any of her books. She writes mainly romantic suspense which is considerably different than the humorous contemporaries I write, but they are my go-to reads.

Kathy: If you weren’t a writer, what would you be?

Alison: I’d probably work for an animal rescue organization. I love animals and seem to have a knack for finding strays on a regular basis, much to my husband’s chagrin. While I can’t keep them all, I do try to provide them with a little love, kindness, and the necessary vet care before finding them a forever home with a new family. My most cherished moment was a few years ago when I found a very pregnant and severely malnourished stray out in the middle of the woods. I took her home, provided her with veterinary care, proper nutrition, and gave her a warm, safe place to have her babies. After she weaned her pups, I found wonderful homes for each of them, including the newly spayed mom who now lives on a nearby farm with lots of room to run and play with the elderly couple’s grandchildren. It’s a wonderful feeling to help a defenseless animal and see the transform that takes place with a little love and kindness.

Kathy: What project(s) are you currently working on?

Alison: I’m currently working on edits for Law of Attraction, the third book in my Tangled in Texas series. Once I get those turned in, I’ll be back to work on a new cowboy series that I’m starting and super excited about!

Thank so much, Alison Bliss

Kathy: It has truly been a pleasure chatting with you!

Author Bio

Alison Bliss grew up in Small Town, Texas, but currently resides in the Midwest with her husband and two sons. With so much testosterone in her home, it’s no wonder she writes “girl books.” She believes the best way to know if someone is your soul mate is by canoeing with them because if you both make it back alive, it’s obviously meant to be. Alison pens the type of books she loves to read most: fun, steamy love stories with heart, heat, laughter, and usually a cowboy or two.
